Manual Handling

The Manual Handling Awareness Course from Turner Access aims to make employees aware of the risks associated with manual handling operations and how they can avoid injuries by following the guidance provided by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

There is an increased risk of injury when workers are involved in heavy labour or manually handling material. Risk of injury to the back, shoulders and upper limbs can be caused by lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling and pivoting in the wrong way. By learning manual handling techniques, the risk of musculoskeletal injuries can be avoided.
