Harness Awareness Training

At Turner Access our highly experienced team can conduct Harness Awareness Training that will instruct a user to select, inspect and use a harness (and associated equipment) safely for general use, or when using a MEWP, if this is the only situation that an operator will use a harness.

Harness Awareness Training on MEWP’s is carried out on behalf of IPAF (International Powered Access Federation).

The objective of the Harness Awareness Training course is to:

  • Give the delegate instruction in identifying and selecting the appropriate form of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) against falls from height.
  • How to fit and use the equipment correctly.
  • How to carry out necessary daily checks relating to this equipment to ensure that the equipment remains in good working order. This does not include training in the mandatory periodic inspections for Fall Protection Equipment as required by legislation, or its details incorporated into a system of work.
  • The delegate will be given an awareness of the relevant Health and Safety Regulations and understand hazard analysis and risk assessment.
