Access Equipment Selection Training Course

Access Equipment Selection Training aims to give all people at work an awareness of their responsibilities in selecting and using appropriate access equipment for work at height; and to ensure that all employees and/or contractors work safely and are suitably trained in the use of that equipment.

Therefore, this course protects both employee and employer (the employee is protected from injury, the employer is protected from litigation; which could include action under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007).

Every office, factory and workplace in the country needs solutions for safely working at height. UK Statutory Regulations require all employers to protect their employees and/or contractors carrying out work on their behalf from the risk of fall from their place of work. People carrying out a task at height should be competent and have the appropriate equipment to do so. Commonly, tasks carried out at low level heights can affect almost ALL employees and often unsuitable equipment is selected.

Remember, any place a person can fall or be injured is a place of work at height.

The first step to a safer work environment is training and educating people to change their attitude to safety in the workplace and to fully understand the aforementioned.

Access Equipment Selection Training covers:

  • Falls from Height
  • Work at Height Regulations 2005
  • Selection of Equipment for Work at Height
  • Best Practice Considerations
